Kizito Makoye

Kizito Makoye Shigela is a Tanzanian Journalist working on freelance basis with a number of local and international news agencies. He writes news and human-interest feature stories on a number of topics ranging from the humanitarian impacts of climate change to women's rights. He has over the years developed a passion for science journalism with profound interest in covering stories related to climate change and how it affects the lives and livelihoods of vulnerable communities in East Africa. He's the winner of 2017 Global Media Reporting Fellowship from the Center for Science and Environment on REDD+ and has attended several local and international training programs for journalists. He loves extensive reading and travelling.
